Wedding Dress Update

I'm in the process of putting what I hope will be the final muslin together for my next fitting. I thought that I might starch the crap out of the skirt pieces to get it to drape more like the final fabric will but someone on PR suggested I just put horsehair braid through the hem of the muslin for the same sort of effect. This is a good idea. Besides, I need to go buy horsehair braid for the final dress anyway. However, before I could go buy the braid, I needed to measure the circumference of the skirt so I could make sure that I bought enough braid to go all the way around. Now, I knew I had a pretty hefty skirt and a killer train, but I had no idea just how much skirt we're talking about. 7 1/4 yards of hem. That's how much hem I've got. Is it strange that I'm pleased with this superfluous amount of fabric I'll have trailing around with me? I think not. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures of this mockup (and not late at night giggly shots when I've been standing still to be pinned for 3 hours). I actually had to seam together 2 queen sized flat sheets to get enough yardage to be able to cut out this skirt. There are only 3 pieces, one CF and two Side Back with a CB seam. Whew, that's a lot of skirt to have to cart around the sewing room for various stages of construction. Westport was no help at all, unless you count fabric/paper weight as help
